The obvious pushback against any efficiency comparison is "those are different measurement cycles." This page exists so that objection gets answered with a date, not a promise. It's published before any comparison page, not after.
Chile switched its vehicle performance homologation cycle from NEDC to WLTP on October 1, 2025, under Decree No. 40/2019 from the Ministry of Environment. The change applies only to new homologations from that date forward — it is not retroactive: a vehicle homologated before that keeps its original NEDC measurement. WLTP measures under more real-world-representative scenarios and includes optional equipment that NEDC didn't account for, so two vehicles measured under different cycles are typically not directly comparable without adjustment. Publishing a km/kWh comparison without declaring each vehicle's cycle is a methodological error — precisely the one this page exists to avoid.
None of the five electric vans homologated in Chile with a payload of 1,400 kg or more was homologated after October 1, 2025. All five sit under the same measurement regime (NEDC, the one in force at the time), so the comparison among them is homogeneous.

Confirmed: all five vehicles are homologated before the October 1, 2025 cutoff.
Certified performance under WLTP tends to be lower than the same vehicle measured under NEDC, because the cycle is more demanding. If a competitor re-homologates its vehicle under WLTP, its figure will likely drop — and e-auto's, while the EV48 isn't re-homologated, will remain its NEDC figure. This page will be updated when that happens, declaring the cycle change explicitly in the comparison, not hiding it.
